Hey, I'm Michael - a photographer, videographer, and an editor.

Equipment

I use the Panasonic LUMIX S5ii camera. I have a 20-60mm lens and an 85mm lens.

Editing

When it comes to editing, I'm proficient with adobe programs such as Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, and Audition.

My Past

I started my passion and love for videography when I was in college in 2018. I had a video project in one of my classes that I obsessed over and it ended up getting great responses from my classmates. I then became a digital marketing assistant at my first job in 2018 soon after. My responsibilities were mainly to make videos - film and edit. This is where I learned about a multitude of adobe programs. I used the iPhone X to record my videos and a cheap Nikon D3300 to take photos occasionally. I used Premiere Pro to put videos together. I used Audition to edit the sound of the videos. I used After Effects to make cool intros and outros. Lastly, I used Photoshop and Illustrator to make the thumbnails. I learned so many skills in that job, but lacked the compensation to continue it so I branched off into different pursuits.

My love for fitness drove me to start a group fitness training job in 2019. I continued to make videos but for my own personal use. I made a YouTube page where I would post vlog style videos that would incorporate my weird humor and show off my editing skills. I ended up leaving my personal training job once again due to lack of compensation. In 2020, I took a gap year from college to travel which was cut short by the introduction of Covid-19. I stayed home constantly and ended up working with OBS studio to make gaming videos. Once things cleared the air with Covid I went back to my passion for fitness.

In 2021, I created a fitness page called Boar Fitness. I ended up getting over 1,000 followers in a short time before I quit making content. I met my now wife in that same year. Soon after, I began a serving job at a fancy resort. I worked both as a server in the restaurant and a banquet server for events and weddings. I continued to have an eye for making content as I found myself recording videos randomly at weddings and advocated for the resort to market themselves better. They basically had free marketing with all these events yet rarely took photos or videos!

In 2023, I got my real estate license and became a real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty. However, I quickly discovered that I had no real passion for it. My heart has always been with the Photography and Videography industry and I couldn't force it to go a different route this time.

Since 2018 my mind has been forever warped. My brain seems to have a permanent filter where all I see are marketing opportunities for companies and people. Photography and Videography is an in depth hobby of mine that I feel will be a rewarding career. This is why I started Boar Cinematics in 2024. It's also when I bought my Panasonic LUMIX S5ii Camera which has been an absolute delight to use. I was able to make things work with an iPhone X, so to have this expensive tool at my disposal is highly satisfying.
